How to create an invoice with InfinitInvoice
- Create your free account with Google in one click, or with your email address.
- Add your business details: your business name, address and contact details, which appear on every invoice.
- Add your client, with their company name and address.
- Build the invoice. Choose the kind of document (an everyday invoice, a VAT invoice, a CIS invoice, a quote and more), add your lines and watch the totals and the preview update as you type.
- Send it by email as a PDF, or share its online link. You can see when your client opens it.
- Get paid. Mark the invoice as paid and send a payment receipt. Overdue reminders go out automatically.
Everything a UK invoice needs, built in
GOV.UK lists what every invoice must include: a unique identification number, your business name, address and contact details, your customer's name and address, a clear description, the supply date, the invoice date, the amounts, any VAT and the total owed (GOV.UK: what invoices must include).
InfinitInvoice has a place for each of these. It suggests the next free invoice number and will not let you use the same number twice, and it works out line totals and the amount owed for you. Our guide on how to write an invoice explains each field, and the invoice template shows them all on one page.
What the Free plan does not include
To keep things clear, here is what you would need a paid plan for:
- More than 10 invoices a month: Business Pro covers 100 and Business Premium 500.
- More invoice designs: Business Pro has three, and Business Premium has all twenty with your own logo and colours.
- Recurring statements and a team of up to 10 people, from Business Pro.
- Online card payments through Stripe, unlimited clients and more than one business, on Business Premium.
When you need more
Business Pro is £4.99 a month, or £47.90 a year. Business Premium is £14.99 a month, or £143.90 a year. No VAT is added to any plan, and you can change or cancel your plan at any time from Plan and billing in the app.
See every plan side by side on the pricing page, or see how the prices compare with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage on the comparison page.
